This is a great media campaign will give the lungs for

This is a really amazing media campaign, as a result of its effects, amazing and not a Grand concept – for all these fronts — but it's the Holy Spirit impressed about. It does not move, you see immediately if you close at heart. This is an amazing imagination is good evidence of the collaboration can be achieved.

The agency Ogilvy Brazil São Paulo Brazil soccer team (we have two types of football means North Americans: football) is the first soccer team to make organ donation card sport club Recife. As part of an effort to match the patient and the player is shown a huge field, if necessary. Fans unfurled a banner with the message the campaign. Come and get the fans have been setting up organ donor card. As a result of the date, according to the campaign overview:
More than 51,000 organ donation cards and counting.Organ breaking historical records donated has increased 54% year. heart and Recife in corneal transplantation waiting list has been reduced to 0. fans and have made a lifelong commitment between sport club Recife brand. emerged in the campaign to all patients and save lives, including dozens of.

Operations to capture the campaign is moving under the watch the video:
Immortal fans already high investment base energizing seizes on the great enthusiasm. It also gives people something that is bigger than yourself to participate in. It is a community-building within the community. Organic, imagination is a huge problem in fashion-Brazil needed for organ transplants from family-resolution. So many donations drive to falter. Try to make the branding continues to fade quickly. Concept, layout, and continued contribution in terms of timing, run-I'm a fan of immortality on all accounts.
Organ donation, as well as all media campaign (not to mention a healthy fear of the crowd a passionate football) a deep-seated cynicism toward the irrational resistance to confess. This project has in mind to strike across all the obstacles. We all hope to learn from the examples.

Re: Wells Fargo earnings: Good but not great - The Term Sheet: Fortune's deals blogTerm Sheet

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

FORTUNE -- Wells Fargo is flashing the yellow light for bank stocks.

In the first test of whether the banking recovery continued during the fourth quarter, Wells (WFC) said its earnings and sales were better in the last three months of 2012 than expected. But shares were down 1.6% to a recent $34.81 shortly after the market opened on Friday as investors focused more on some of the troublesome signs in the report.

The San Francisco-based bank earned $5 billion, or 91 cents a share, up 24% from a year ago. For the whole year, Wells earned $18.9 billion, which was up 19% form 2011.

MORE: A boom-time debt product is back with a vengeance

The bank said that it has submitted its capital plan to the Federal Reserve as part of the central bank's annual stress tests. Executives said as part of its submission it asked the Fed for permission to boost dividends and share buybacks, a sign that executives at the bank think positive earnings will continue.

Surprisingly, in a conference call with analysts, the bank said that fears of the fiscal cliff actually boosted lending in the fourth quarter, particularly at the end of the year, as individuals took advantage of the expiration of lower tax rates. Many had expected the fiscal cliff - the mix of massive tax increases and spending cuts that were set to go into place Jan. 1st but was avoided by a deal in Washington - and the possibility that it could lead to a recession, to slow the economy in the fourth quarter.

"2012 was an outstanding year for Wells Fargo," said CEO John Stumpf in a statement released by the bank. "This time last year, I said we would benefit from the many opportunities we saw for 2012, and we did just that."

Wells is the first bank to report its earnings for the fourth quarter. Bank stocks have been one of the market's best performers lately. As a whole the group outperformed the rest of the market in 2012 for the first time since the financial crisis. But falling profit margins and a weak economy have some wondering how long that can continue. A recent rise in interest rates could mean that the refinance boom, which has been fueling bank profits for much of the past year, might come to an end.

MORE: How the magic platinum coin could work (or backfire)

Indeed, the bank's mortgage business provided a key view into the current profit murkiness at the banks. Home lending was once again a key driver of profits. In general, lending was stronger than usual. And Wells said it booked nearly $300 million selling loans that it had made to the government-backed insurance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Nonetheless, there were signs that the recent refi boom might be coming to an end. Mortgage lending slowed in the fourth quarter for the first time in over a year, down $14 billion. Applications, which peaked in the second quarter of last year at $200 billion, came in at $150 billion. Executives mostly attributed the drop to the fact that fewer people tend to go looking for mortgages at the end of the year. But that didn't stop the bank's mortgage lending from jumping $31 billion in the same quarter a year ago.

In all, the bank's revenues were up only 7% in the quarter -- much less than its earnings. Loans were up $17 billion during the quarter, but that was much less than the $30 billion in new deposits the bank took in during the quarter. That could be a sign the bank is still struggling to find companies and individuals to lend to. All banks have been flooded by a wave of deposits, which has increased costs.

Investors won't have to wait long to find out how the other big financial firms fared in the fourth quarter. Citigroup (C), Bank of America (BAC), JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Goldman Sachs (GS) and Morgan Stanley (MS) all report earnings next week. And in a surprise move, credit card giant American Express (AXP) announced results earlier than expected on Thursday afternoon. Earnings topped forecasts, but AmEx is laying off 5,400 workers.

Economix: Great Gatsby curve for the State

12: 46 p.m. | Updated to correct the description of the Great Gatsby curve.

Earlier this year, Alan Krueger, President of President Obama's Council of economic advisors and a former Economix assistants, presented what he called the Great Gatsby curve: that is, a chart showing the negative link between generations mobility and income inequality in rich countries. It is assumed that the greater concentration of wealth may hinder the people at the bottom to move up the ladder of income.

CATHERINE RAMPELL Dollars to doughnuts.

Since then, economic mobility project of the pastor has launched the American mobility State-level data. I thought it may be interesting to look at whether the States in which wealth is evenly also seem to provide more opportunities for upward mobility poor inhabitants.

It is extremely difficult question to answer (and the pastor report does not seek to do so), especially given the limited data available. But here is a rude, backing envelope first go.

Relative upward mobility data are from Pew Economic Mobility Project. Researchers tracked a group of nationally representative Americans who were age 35 to 39 at any point from 1978 to 1997. They then examined how each individual’s earnings had changed exactly one decade after the initial income number was collected. The measure shown on the vertical axis here refers to the share of those in the bottom half of the distribution who moved up at least 10 percentiles.Economic mobility project, the center of the pastor of the State; Count BureauRelative up mobility data are by Pastor economic mobility project. Researchers tracked a group of nationally representative Americans, who have been at the age of 35 and 39 at any point from 1978 to 1997 They examined how each individual incomes have changed just one decade after the number of the original revenue is collected. This measure, shown on the vertical axis here refers to the proportion of those who are in the bottom half of the distribution, which moved at least 10 percentiles.

The chart above shows the injustice of the horizontal axis, and the corresponding revenues on the vertical axis. Here you can find exact measures I used:

Pastor produced several different measures for economic mobility (none of which is directly comparable to that used in the original Gatsby curve chart, unfortunately). I focus on its metric for relative upward mobility.

This is calculated as the focus on Americans, which when checked in sometime between 1978 and 1997, were in the bottom half of the distribution of income — that is, they have less than the median American. The authors of the report consider what some of these people were able to move at least 10 percentiles up the income ladder, when interviewed again exactly a decade later.

Larger number, for each Member State means that a large part of the people at the bottom have managed to pull my own bootstraps. For example, Connecticut, about half of the people who begin at the bottom of the distribution of revenue climbed to at least 10 percentiles.

Then I looked for income distribution, called the Gini index, which runs from zero to one. With lower Gini coefficient of mean income is more evenly, and higher value means revenue is more concentrated among the wealthiest.

Bureau of census offers bit values for the Gini index of State for election years. I took an average of values for 1979 and 1989 (two years falling within the period of the study dealt with pastor) and compare those values, mobility.

Again this is very serious, but it seems that is a weak negative relation in the best. (For the nerds there, R-squared is just a 0.048.)

Also I tried plotting inequalities against absolute income mobility — that is, the average percentage growth of residents income more than a decade. For example, the average New Yorker is 20 per cent increase in income.

Absolute upward mobility data are from Pew Economic Mobility Project. Researchers tracked a group of nationally representative Americans who were age 35 to 39 at any point from 1978 to 1997. They then examined how each individual's earnings had changed exactly one decade after the initial income number was collected. The measure shown on the vertical axis here refers to how much those earnings rose.Sources: Economic mobility project, the center of the pastor of the State; Count BureauAbsolute up mobility data are by Pastor economic mobility project. Researchers tracked a group of nationally representative Americans, who have been at the age of 35 and 39 at any point from 1978 to 1997 They examined how each individual incomes have changed just one decade after the number of the original revenue is collected. This measure, shown on the vertical axis here refers to how much these income rises.

The link here is slightly stronger, but still rather weak. (R-squared is 0.09 in this case.)

One challenge you might notice these data – except that the years just not covered, among other things, is that there is only that much variation in inequality among States. Gini coefficients range from 0.3795 to 0.471, so that the points are clustered relatively close cooperation.

Do you have any thoughts on other ways to examine how inequality affect mobility in the United States?

This post has been revised to reflect the following correction:

Correction of 18 may 2012.

At one point, an earlier version of this post misstated the relationship shown in the curve of the Great Gatsby intergenerational mobility and income inequality in rich countries. Is negative, not positive; Therefore, as the post correctly indicated greater concentration of wealth may hinder the people at the bottom to move up the ladder of income.

Microsoft Great Plains Dexterity Customizations

Microsoft Business Solutions is on the way to popularize it's ERP systems implementation. Right now such products as Microsoft CRM and Small Business Manager (cheap version of Microsoft Great Plains, based on the same Great Plains Dexterity runtime and DYNAMICS.DIC dictionary) are targeted to self-implementation by in-house IT group. This is short article, written in question/answer/FAQ style to give IT Director/Controller balanced top level information on Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains implementation. If you have decided on Microsoft Great Plains as main accounting and ERP system you need to know some technical details on Great Plains installation and implementation and what is going on behind the scenes. As of right now the current version is Microsoft Great Plains 8.0. Plus you probably should know about programming language of Microsoft Great Plains - Great Plains Dexterity

If you are developer who is asked: how do we customize Great Plains with its native programming language - Great Plains Dexterity - read this and you will have the clues on where to look further.

The history of the Dexterity. Great Plains Dexterity - is proprietary programming language and technology, designed back to earlier 1990th with the goal to build platform independent graphical accounting package - Great Plains Dynamics. Dexterity itself is written in C (following popular those days hope - that C will provide platform independence). You can install Dexterity from Great Plains 7.5 CD #2. Obviously it requires a lot of learning / training, but it allows your custom piece be seamlessly integrated with Great Plains interface.

1. Native Dexterity Cursors. Dexterity was designed as platform independent programming language and so if you want your code to be operable on all currently supported databases - you use Dexterity ranges and loops to manipulate the records

2. Great Plains Dexterity with SQL Stored Procs Nowadays, most of Great Plains installations are moved to SQL Server - so you can use Dexterity for custom forms drawing only and make the buttons run SQL stored procedures.

3. COM Objects calls. Beginning with version 7.0 Dexterity supports COM objects - you register them as libraries in Dexterity. Refer the manual. This technique allows you to call such nice things as web services across the internet.

4. Dexterity Forms - if you like VBA and are comfortable to do all the business logic in VBA - you can use Dexterity as new forms creator/editor. This is OK - but you have to purchase VBA/Modifier and Customization Site Enabler from MBS.

Some restrictions. Great Plains is actually integration of multiple dictionaries: DYNAMICS.DIC, ADVSECUR.DIC, EXP1493.DIC, etc. In your Dexterity customization you can deal with one dictionary - DYNAMICS.DIC. If you need cross dictionaries customization - consider using SQL Stored Procs for crossing dictionary borders and pulling data/making changes in the other dictionary..

EDI: Electronic Document Interchange for Microsoft Great Plains - Overview for Software Developer/Pr

Microsoft Great Plains - Microsoft Business Solutions accounting and ERP system, originally targeted to mid-size - now, with advancements and increasing reliability of its database - Microsoft SQL Server, Great Plains is attractive solution for large corporation. Big companies usually have purchasing and order processing automation via so-called Electronic Document Interchange or EDI. EDI was introduced long time ago for UNIX systems and in most of the cases appears in the form of Header, Lines and Trailer of predefined fixed position fields.

We would like to give you - programmer, software developer, database administrator the primary clues on producing EDI formatted text from Microsoft Great Plains database. Please, note however that Great Plains here is taken as the example, similar approach will work for other SQL based systems: Navision (SQL Database or C/SIDE database), Microsoft RMS, Solomon as well as Oracle and other non-Microsoft products. In the case of non-SQL system, such as old Great Plains Dynamics, ACCPAC on Pervasive SQL - IDE interface will involve ADO/ODBC or Microsoft Access programming.

1. Sample Query - The query below uses CAST construction to make the result fixed length and meet the positioning. Plus the unionizing allows to produce Header and Detail in one select statement. Here we are dealing with work Sales Documents

select

case

when b.LNITMSEQ=c.LNITMSEQ+1 and b.CMPNTSEQ=c.CMPNTSEQ+1 then CAST('Header' as char(10))

else CAST('Detail' as char(10))

end

as FIELD0,

case

when b.LNITMSEQ=c.LNITMSEQ+1 and b.CMPNTSEQ=c.CMPNTSEQ+1 then cast(a.CUSTNAME as char(65))

else cast(cast(b.QTYDMGED as decimal(19,5)) as char(65))

end

as FIELD01,

case

when b.LNITMSEQ=c.LNITMSEQ+1 and b.CMPNTSEQ=c.CMPNTSEQ+1 then CONVERT(char(51), a.DOCDATE, 101)

else cast(b.ITEMDESC as char(51))

end

as FIELD03

--Additional fields go here

from SOP10100 a join SOP10200 b on a.SOPTYPE=b.SOPTYPE and a.SOPNUMBE=b.SOPNUMBE join

RM00101 d on a.CUSTNMBR=d.CUSTNMBR

join

(select SOPTYPE as SOPTYPE, SOPNUMBE as SOPNUMBE,

LNITMSEQ

as LNITMSEQ,

CMPNTSEQ

as CMPNTSEQ from SOP10200

union

select SOPTYPE as SOPTYPE, SOPNUMBE as SOPNUMBE, MIN(LNITMSEQ)-1 as LNITMSEQ, MIN(CMPNTSEQ)-1 as CMPNTSEQ from SOP10200

group by SOPTYPE, SOPNUMBE

) c on a.SOPTYPE=c.SOPTYPE and a.SOPNUMBE=c.SOPNUMBE

and ((b.LNITMSEQ=c.LNITMSEQ and b.CMPNTSEQ=c.CMPNTSEQ) or (b.LNITMSEQ=c.LNITMSEQ+1 and b.CMPNTSEQ=c.CMPNTSEQ+1))

left join SOP10106 udf on a.SOPTYPE=udf.SOPTYPE and a.SOPNUMBE=udf.SOPNUMBE

where a.ADDRESS3'Exported' and

a.SOPTYPE=3 and upper(d.USERDEF2)='YES'

order by a.SOPTYPE, a.SOPNUMBE, b.LNITMSEQ asc

2. Mark processed documents - for this reason we use SOP10100.ADDRESS3 field - which was not used in Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise version 6.0:

update SOP10100 set ADDRESS3='Exported' where SOPTYPE=3

3. Communication with UNIX EDI Client or Server - each case requires individual approach. You may have to assign the file directory, exposed to the UNIX system or use old DOS command to move the file, or you can have automatic email. Good idea is to write communication application in your favorite programming language

4. Scheduled DTS Package - you should probably create DTS package to do all the steps: call SQL Query and save it as a file, then call DOS command or simple EXE application - which does communicate with UNIX

Microsoft Great Plains on Ctree or Pervasive SQL - What to Do - Tips for IT Manager

As you probably know, when Microsoft purchased Great Plains Software - the whole strategy for Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise line was changed. Initial GPS strategy was to maintain DB platform independence - via it's C-written engine Dexterity, based on the believe that C programming language is platform independent. So - Great Plains was running on MS SQL Server, Ctree (Faircom - if you remember 1995-96 Macintosh era), Pervasive SQL (Btrieve). Microsoft obviously had no plan to keep this multiplatform capability and Great Plains was optimized to MS SQL Server and with the introduction of MSDE - the need to keep entry level Dynamics on Ctree/Btrieve disappeared.

Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions, later renamed to Microsoft Business Solutions was sending multiple signals to Dynamics customers to migrate to SQL Server, later on to upgrade to Great Plains Standard on MSDE. Recently it promoted all the clients who own Great Plains on Ctree/Pervasive - so now they technically own so called Great Plains Standard. All they need to do is pay for Migration (around k$3 + consulting fee to whoever your MBS VAR is).

Unfortunately MBS did several rough turns in the process of this migration from ctree/Pervasive to SQL/MSDE.

Until early 2004 you could see support expiration date for Great Plains 7.5 on Ctree/Pervasive was July, 31, 2005. In about April, 2004 - Microsoft roughly changed it to December 31, 2004. This actually exposed all the clients with regulation-related modules (such as US Payroll - where you rather do not risk with printing W2s without support) to serious problems

Clients who migrated to Great Plains standard are now in the feeling that they paid for something that is free now. See above - all the low price GP clientele now technically owns GP Standard

Ctree/Pervasive clients with high volume of employees count in GP Payroll/HR now have to cut it to 500 employees due to the cap for GP Standard. You can imagine frustration, especially due to the fact that a lot of mid-size and big companies were running very cheap Dynamics on Ctree for just Payroll/W2 filing. This was a very nice alternative to products like Abra HR - not any more.

What to do. Well, if you plan to stay with GP - the only alternative is to migrate to MSDE. Contact your MBS VAR (or call us directly: 1-866-528-0577). You will be given Migration Tool quote - then install MSDE and Great Plains with exactly the same accounts structure that you have on Pervasive/Ctree. Tune Migration Tool, select all the tables in all the modules, click the button and wait a few hour - and you are in the SQL World!

Microsoft Great Plains-cheap payroll and HR solution is? There is no more.

Microsoft Great Plains is the main United States market for Microsoft business solutions accounting package. Software development company to buy the big players should perhaps expect some problems-in this case was acquired by Great Plains Software Microsoft ( Bill Gates friend Doug Burgum - owner and leader of the Great Plains Software - Great Plains dynamics and eEnterprise ) was. Microsoft business solutions at some level of influence surely we have what happened we determine level of this is really a sad story.

I understood. Let's go to the story itself. Imagine-resource order of deep compassion and salaries as your offer has been a small company. Did the old Prairie Dynamics Ctree or Btrieve SQL spread and excellent and inexpensive solution. All client needs elaboration k $ 2 Ohira original software price somewhere in Southern California, solar and enjoyed around the $ 10 k for the year unlimited number pay hourly employees, installed on the computer at home can be.

Now-a venture without really clearly understand Hurricane - Florida over - charge Microsoft - suddenly you who-need to retune the version of Great Plains of the cheap, this person. Good - so-called Great Plains is available standard on MS SQL Server 2000 and MSDE, and limit employee small business manager - 500 employees, it is... - this decision - the CAP cannot now implement Microsoft Business Solutions business more as a result,.

We have several examples of your other cheap vendors without restriction was Accpac Adapta software, Employee Payroll HR version of the switch. Indeed, Oracle, SAP, and PeopleSoft-and, compete to respect Microsoft's rights effects of solution was made too early is probably non-what is going on side then. Of course to terminate the agreement and an extensive software needs is a good idea - but cutting the small loyal customers - we doubt this fact

Implement a happy! -If you want to work, please contact us!
