?The growth in healthcare technology in recent years has been exponential, and the more medical devices in use, the more frequent medical device failure becomes. A clinical engineer–one who studies the cause of device failures before and after they occur–can offer a unique perspective on healthcare technology's common failure modes and the prevention of such failures.
This webinar will:
Briefly outline recent industry growth and its impact on risk;Describe the role of the clinical engineer in identifying and preventing medical device failure; andProvide real-world examples of various healthcare technology failures and the lessons learned from them.
