While that headline could have been used at virtually any time over the past year, Yahoo! Has just announced a significant update to seven of its most popular pages.  According to the announcement, the changes will help create a more consistent experience across all the Yahoo web properties, while making it easier and faster to get the information and entertainment people have come to expect from the Internet giant.
Here are the seven redesigned pages along with a teaser on what users can expect to see:
Yahoo! Sports – An increased focus on what matters to sports fans.  Premium content from sports experts.  Scores and, of course, Fantasy games.Yahoo! Movies – A more personalized, entertaining and engaging experience.  You can sort by theater or movie, and even watch movie trailers.Yahoo! Music – Higher quality music streams.  Easier to use interface.Yahoo! TV – Larger video screens with higher quality picture.  Added option for full screen viewing.Yahoo! OMG! – More entertaining, personalized and engaging experiences.Yahoo! Games – Easier to find popular games as well as discover new games.  Improved tracking of game history, allowing for faster returning of your favorites.Yahoo! Weather – Updated mobile interface for faster and easier tracking of the weather on phones and tablets.  Images from Flickr to show current local conditions.
One of the major focuses, according to the announcement, was to make sure that all their pages were equally user friendly and accessible whether they are being accessed from a PC, tablet, phone or other mobile device.  With faster loading times and more interactive content, Yahoo! Hopes to continue to win back users, and expand their user base.  Given the fact that they became the most popular web property in June of 2013, they clearly want to hold onto that top spot long into the future. The updates will roll out over the next few days for US visitors, followed by the rest of the world over the coming weeks.
