TORRANCE, California — Customized versions of the 2014 Scion FR-S and a trio of 2014 Scion tCs that are part of the Scion Tuner Challenger make up the Toyota brand's major offensive at the 2013 SEMA Show.

The FR-S is described as a "SEMA favorite" by Scion.

The 2014 Scion FR-S by GReddy Performance churns out 750 horsepower.

One of the custom FR-S cars was designed by DJ and producer Steve Aoki. Fittingly, it gets a fully operational mixing station, custom Pioneer sound system, deck-lid-mounted LCD display, a fog machine and strobe lighting.

Next up is a supercar FR-S concept by Bulletproof Automotive. The sport coupe is outfitted with a carbon-fiber interior, wide-body kit and turbocharged engine that puts out 500 hp.

The highest-performance FR-S is the drifting prototype by GReddy Performance. The tuner added an aggressive aero kit and turbocharged 2JZ-GTE engine sourced from a fourth-generation Toyota Supra.

Last up is the FR-S "Style J" that has an urban design featuring concept camera mirrors, a custom leather interior and sleek body kit.

A Scion xB will also be displayed at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The car was stretched into a miniature limousine with a business theme including onboard WiFi, a Mac Mini computer, wireless peripherals and a hands-free calling setup.

Polishing off the display are three 2014 Scion tCs built as part of the annual Scion Tuner Challenge. The Japanese automaker gave three U.S. tuners a $15,000 budget to see what kind of crazy tune they could create in 90 days.

Josh Croll of Mertztown, Pennsylvania built an orange right-hand-drive model with wide wheels and a clean exterior.

The second tC was built by Walter Franco of Seattle and has a VIP look. The luxury ride has a suede interior with diamond stitching, a pearl white exterior paint, a nitrous system and an upgraded audio setup.

Young Tea of Alhambra, California rounds out the Scion stable with his teal-colored "Simpli-tC" with extended fenders, a dual-outlet rear diffuser and air suspension.

The winner of the competition will be announced during the 2013 SEMA Show and will receive a $10,000 prize.

Edmunds says: Scion doesn't fool around when it comes to making a lasting impression at SEMA.
